Do you have a passion for helping others? Do you enjoy working with children? Are you interested or experienced in the medical profession? If you answered ‘yes!’ to any of these questions, this may be the job for you! Eyes to See Pediatric Ophthalmology is looking for individuals to train as full-time or part-time ophthalmic technicians. 

 

Ophthalmic technicians perform a range of duties, including preparing the patient to see the Doctor (medical history, testing & preliminary exam), preparing the exam rooms before patients arrive and closing them at the end of the day, performing basic & routine vision screenings, administering eye drops, and cleaning & maintaining ophthalmic instruments. There are many opportunities to learn and grow through certification processes and dedication to new challenges that are offered as part of this position. 

 

We’re looking for hardworking and responsible individuals who love helping people and are passionate about learning new things. Prior medical knowledge and experience are helpful, but not required. We will train you! The ability to speak Spanish is also a plus, though not a requirement. Hours available range from 10-30 hours per week, and the typical commitment required is at least one year.
